West Virginia received a much-needed addition at the quarterback position.
David Isreal, who hails from Butler Community College in Kansas, committed to WVU on Sunday. He will be the fourth scholarship quarterback on the roster, joining Will Grier, Chris Chugunov and Cody Saunders, who is dealing with a shoulder injury.
Isreal has three years of players eligibility remaining and will join the 2017 recruiting class.
WVU offensive coordinator Jake Spavital expressed concern about the depth at quarterback following the Gold-Blue Spring Game on Saturday, discussing how they needed to add more bodies, especially with the looming NCAA decision on Grier’s suspension for the first six games.
