WVU adds JUCO quarterback

By Chris Jackson            Sports Editor West Virginia received a much-needed addition at the quarterback position. David Isreal, who hails from Butler Community College in Kansas, committed to WVU on Sunday. He will be the fourth scholarship quarterback on the roster, joining Will Grier, Chris Chugunov and Cody Saunders, who is dealing with a shoulder injury. Isreal has three years of players eligibility remaining and will join the 2017 recruiting class. By Chris Jackson               Sports Editor Gonzaga’s projected starters: Nigel Williams-Goss (Guard): The transfer from Washington is commanding a Gonzaga offense at point guard, helping the team rank, averaging a team-high 16.7 points and 4.7 assists per game. He was named the All-WCC Player of the Year honor, alongside being a finalist for the Naismith Trophy, Oscar Robertson Trophy and the Wooden Award. WVU target names top schools, commitment date

By Chris Jackson               Sports Editor West Virginia linebacker target Brian Asamoah announced his commitment date and top schools early Friday morning. Asamoah, a class of 2018 linebacker from St. Francis De Sales (Columbus, Ohio), said via Twitter that his commitment date is tentatively scheduled for April 21. His top six schools are Cincinnati, Michigan, Penn State, Pittsburgh, UCLA and West Virginia. 247 Sports rates Asamoah as a three-star prospect and as the nation’s No. 45 outside linebacker.
